Version 1.7 is here! This release of Driver Fusion focuses on improving the interface and user experience. The release notes below contain more specific details about the updates, changes and fixes that Driver Fusion 1.7 introduces.
Driver family - Driver inspection and driver overview have been combined into a single completely redesigned screen named driver family (named driver family because all driver versions are combined into one group, e.g. AMD display drivers). The redesigned interface includes a more spacious layout, icons and better navigation.
Category view - Instead of listing all drivers the driver family screen just shows the categories. This makes it easier to find the driver that you want to delete instead of having to search through the list of all driver families.
Details view - This view provides the list of all driver families just like you were used to but now with the new design of the driver family screen.
Notification bar - Hints and notifications have been combined into one simple notification bar at the top of the screen.
Steam - If you use Driver Fusion on Steam you can now launch Driver Fusion without having the Steam client running. To do so you need to run the Driver Fusion executable with the parameter "-nosteam" (without the quotes).
Hint navigation - It is now possible to pause hints. Previous and next buttons can be used to browse all the hints manually.
Installed filter - Driver overview has been integrated with the new driver family screen. Installed drivers can now be filtered from the complete list by selecting the option to only show installed drivers.
No items available - Added an empty item text to lists that do not contain any items yet.
Manual and credits - Buttons have been added to the general settings to open the manual and view the credits screen.
Updated hints - Most of the texts have been updated, this also includes several new tooltips.
Verification - Resend verification will now return the user to the verification screen instead of returning to the main Driver Fusion window.
Multi removal - It is no longer possible to select multiple driver families by default. Experienced users can re-enable the selection of multiple driver families in the cleaning settings.
Progress indication - Backup and removal of driver family entries now indicates its progress in percentages.
Monitor - Support has been added for more hardware. This includes Samsung SSDs, Intel Haswell and AMD Jaguar CPUs.
Device control - Device control has been moved to the maintenance section instead of the computer section.
Device driver backup - Backups made with device control now better adhere to the file structure as originally defined by the vendors.
Horizontal scrolling - Improved horizontal scrolling support, fixing certain settings being partially unreadable on small window sizes and devices having unnecessary horizontal scrollbars in device control.
Driver Fusion 1.5 has just been released! This release contains the much requested improved NVIDIA system driver entries. But that's not all, for more information about the changes see the release notes below.
Translations - We had a lot of help with improving the translations and we would like to thank the UGLTeam for improving the Georgian translation. Also, thanks to all previous translators for their continued support to improve the existing translations.
Power information - In device control you can now find information about the power management state and capabilities of a device.
Reporting - You can now generate a system report too. This report not only contains a summary of your system's information and devices, but also all devices with their driver's version and provider.
System drivers - The database of possible entries for NVIDIA display and NVIDIA PhysX system drivers has been updated! Thanks to everybody that contacted us by email or through the forum for helping to identify missing/new entries.
Enhanced removal mode - Improved the ability to delete protected, locked or in use directory entries.
Interface - All screens that require internet access now feature a uniform design.
Reporting - The maintenance action report is completely redesigned to improve print quality.

Custom filters - The buttons of the 'add new filter' dialog were not always visible.
Settings - Default values were not always set correctly.
Interface - Several small issues such as incorrect text wrapping and incorrect alignment.
Enhanced removal mode - On some systems it was not possible to delete protected, locked or in use registry entries with Driver Fusion 1.4.0.
Device control - Device and driver properties were shown even when they contained no information.
Device control - Instability when quickly switching between two devices.
Device control - Driver properties were not sorted correctly.
We're working on creating new functionality that makes it possible to automatically update drivers. Driver Fusion 1.4 contains the first step for achieving this goal, the device identifier feature for device control. Version 1.4 has been released and below you will find the release notes containing the details about this release.
Connectivity indication - All screens that require internet access show whether Driver Fusion has internet access or not. The connectivity indication automatically updates when the internet access status changes.
Hints - Community suggested feature - We added several hints to each screen in Driver Fusion. These hints are intended to help novice users and provide tips as well as detailed descriptions of the available features. Experienced users can disable the hints in the general settings.
Driver detection - You can now help to improve the detection of drivers by automatically reporting anonymous driver information about drivers to Treexy. You can always disable this functionality in the settings if you don't feel like contributing to the Driver Fusion community.
OEM/Phantom devices - In device control you can now filter by OEM and Phantom devices. OEM shows devices with drivers that do not ship out-of-box with Windows. Phantom shows devices that are installed but are not currently connected to the computer.
Device identifier - Community suggested feature - Ever discovered devices with a yellow exclamation/question mark or with the name 'unknown device'? Driver Fusion can now try to identify the type, name and manufacturer of these devices. Our database is constantly updated with new devices, but achieving a solid detection rate is going to take some time to complete.
Device control - We added the ability to copy a device or driver property to the clipboard by pressing Ctrl+C. You can now also double-click on a file property to go directly to the containing location.
Interface - Added a separation between the menu and the content for easier navigation. The Driver Fusion window can now also be resized to fit smaller screen resolutions, down to 640x480.
Installer - The manual can now be found in the start menu under the name 'Driver Fusion Manual' to make it easier to find.
Device control - Improved the detection of compatible device driver backups by adding additional operating system and device information.
Treexy account - Changing your password will now show a correct message when your current password is invalid.
Device control - Restoring a device driver backup would not succeed on some systems.
Driver Fusion 1.3 has just been released! Multiple stability fixes have been applied and Device Control has received a large update. But that's not all, for more information about the changes see the release notes below.
Translations - We had a lot of help with improving the translations. The following languages were improved: Polish, Russian, German, Hebrew and Dutch. We would like to thank Lukasz 'RobeN' Abramczuk, Iakov Markov, Tim Mammitzsch and Itiel Yossefian for all their help and feedback. As a side note, we've finished updating a large part of the interface so those changes were not passed along to the translators yet.
Uninstaller - The Driver Fusion uninstaller can now also delete user generated files. It will ask the user if settings and backups should also be removed when uninstalling.
Device control - Improved interface and improved user feedback. More device properties are visible and codes, such as flags and removal policy, now show descriptive representations of the values. The status of a device is now visible in the view on the left hand side and icons have been added to the sections as well.
Interface tweaks - Lots of interface tweaks for better user feedback. For example: the watermark explanations in the input fields no longer disappear on selecting the field but only when the user starts typing and entries that will be deleted on reboot won't show up as remaining entries after cleaning.
Multi-monitor - Driver Fusion now restores to its previous position and monitor correctly when starting Driver Fusion.
Grid overview - All the grid overviews have been updated. Newly added entries will now sort according to the existing entries and the random unintentional close on certain system configurations is resolved.
Premium information redesign - The screen that is shown to free users when a feature is premium only has been redesigned to contain less text and to redirect the user to the website for more information instead of to the store page only.
Registry keys - Improved the advanced removal algorithm so that hard to remove registry entries now either get removed instantly or at least on reboot.
Enhanced removal mode - Before Driver Fusion will clean any hard to remove entries the user first has to allow Driver Fusion to force deletion of those entries. For new installations this will now be enabled by default.
Icon restore - Icons now always get restored correctly the first time.
Blurry text - All the text is now as crisp as it can be. When resizing the Driver Fusion window the text of notifications would sometimes become hard to read (blurred).
In-app update -Driver Fusion is now able to update itself without the language files causing the update to fail in certain conditions.
Lots of new features are released in Driver Fusion 1.2 which is now available to download for everyone! We've taken the opportunity to fix a number of issues and bring improved performance and stability to Driver Fusion. Our next goals are to add several feature requests and to release a few other surprises we've been working on. We hope you enjoy the new version!

Windows 8 support - Microsoft's new Windows 8 operating system is now officially supported.
Keyboard integration - We made a few enhancements to improve keyboard support in general.
Resend verification - It's possible that the account verification email we tried to send you was caught by your email system. If you can't find it, you can now send a new account verification email.
System driver entries - Although we've always shown the location of a system driver entry, it was never possible to go directly to that entry. If you double-click a system driver entry, Driver Fusion will now take you there.
Window position - Driver Fusion will now preserve its window position and size between application sessions.
Reporting - The reporting feature allows you to generate reports of maintenance actions. The maintenance actions are provided in an easy to read, formatted report that you can view and print using any web browser.
Gravatar - Unfortunately, Gravatar's service is slow at times. Gravatar images are now cached locally to ensure smooth visualization.
Translations - Thanks to Łukasz 'RobeN' Abramczuk we now have an updated Polish translation and he is also willing to help us out with future translations. Do you want to help improve the translation for your fellow countrymen? We really appreciate the help, please contact us.
In-app update - Fixed an issue where the update was unable to retrieve all the new files. This means that updating from 1.1.1 to 1.2 might still fail, please download the installer from the website if this occurs. Sorry for the inconvienence.
Starting/closing - We resolved several issues causing Driver Fusion to close unintentionally.
General experience - A handful of changes are made to solve some minor issues.
Manual - A link has been added in the start menu that points to the Driver Fusion manual. The manual teaches you the basics in how to use Driver Fusion.

System protection - If you are thinking of using Driver Fusion but aren't quite sure what it's going to do to your computer, don't worry. Driver Fusion automatically creates a system restore point on system critical actions, so you can always use these system restore points to return to a previous state!
Device control - We added the ability to view device and driver information and have added some great new possibilities to uninstall, backup or restore a device driver. You can also restart, enable or disable a device.
Automatic updates - Our update system will make sure you're always using the best and latest features! Updates are applied automatically, no need to use installers anymore.
One-click overview - By popular demand, we're rolling out a feature that lets you view and delete all your system driver entries with one simple click.

Enhanced Removal Mode deals with all of this for you and keeps your system clean.
